A decision-support calculator for back/lay (exchange-style) betting. It logs bets you place manually, tracks your running profit/loss for both possible outcomes of a match, and suggests a hedge stake to equalize (or reduce) your exposure. It does not place bets and does not auto-connect to any betting platform β you enter every price and stake yourself after checking the live market (or pull the current odds with one click from the "Live odds" panel, if this copy is running behind the server).
Every bet you log is one of 4 types: Back Team A, Lay Team A, Back Team B, Lay Team B. Each type pays off differently depending on which team ultimately wins. The app converts every bet into its contribution to a "P&L if A wins" total and a "P&L if B wins" total. The Hedge Calculator sums those totals for the match you've selected and tells you what stake to place β at whatever odds are currently available β to equalize your result across both outcomes. Depending on how the odds have moved, that equalized number will be a locked-in profit, a break-even (~$0), or a reduced/minimized loss. It's the same formula every time β market movement decides which of the three you land on.
This app deliberately does not auto-escalate your stake after a loss. Progressive systems that increase stake size to "catch up" (Martingale-style) can produce very large losses very quickly. The stake and exposure caps in Settings will flag in red if a suggested hedge exceeds what you set, so you can decide β with a clear head β whether to scale back rather than following the formula blindly.
Back = betting FOR an outcome. If it wins, you gain stake Γ (odds β 1). If it
loses, you lose your stake.
Lay = betting AGAINST an outcome (you act as the bookmaker). If it loses, you gain
the stake. If it wins, you lose stake Γ (odds β 1) β that's your liability.
